up system should be operational.
Data is the
most important single item in your company. Hardware and software can
be replaced but data (i.e all your hard work) can not be.
The
loss of data and failure of your back up strategy can be disastrous.
A
few useful tips:-
Use a good quality back up device to back up all company information
daily.
Back ups
should be taken off site (in case of fire) as soon as possible.
One person
should be responsible for this task.
Operate a
5 tape rotation cycle and date all back ups
Automate
scheduled daily back ups to run while your network is not in use.
